2xLP 45rpm remastered & reissued with that bangin Nuovo Testamento remix. Besides Aurora’s The Gods We Can Touch, this was one of the best albums last year. This would be the best way to buy the album if you dig em and you love vinyl.

Lorenzo Like a bolt blazing forward from the past, this is a passionate ode to the new romantic phase of the 80s. Feeling fresh despite the vintage focus, there is a blending of new wave, post-punk, and synth-pop to create a myriad of exciting melodies and earworms

Synths unsurprisingly dominate the album, driving it forward with glossy determination. The lushness that they provide to back the vocals is wonderful, which themselves adeptly navigate emotions of earnest romance as well as melancholy

Noel Cane Firstly, owning the original press of this amazing album, I can say that this new mastering and the sheer fact that it's on 2 LPs AND 45rpm

Formed in the spring of 2020, Los Angeles-based Sacred Skin is the creative duo of Brian DaMert and Brian Tarney. In short order, the pair has shown a nearly unmatched ability to create anthemic pop music steeped in romanticism and melancholy and drenched in layers upon layers of new wave nostalgia. Backed by an impressive string of singles throughout 2021 and into the following year, the band released their highly anticipated full-length debut, The Decline of Pleasure, in May of 2022 to much fanfare. Armed with vintage gear such as the Sequential Circuits Prophet-VS & E-mu Emulator II and buoyed by strong songwriting, expert production work, and DaMert’s emotionally-charged vocals, Sacred Skin has delivered a modern masterpiece of an album that belongs as much to the ‘80s as it does the present day. An album worthy of standing next to the strongest efforts of idols like Duran Duran, INXS, Peter Gabriel, Depeche Mode, and New Order. An album that has captured the hearts of so many already and will no doubt continue to do so for years to come.

Newly remastered and cut at 45 rpm for exceptional sound quality, this is Decline like you’ve never heard it before. Featuring the bonus tracks Killer’s Mind and a remix of fan favorite Earthbound by fellow synth pop disciples Nuovo Testamento.
